So the good days are here. Soon India’s first bullet train will be on track and also it will be the India’s first train which will run under water.According to the sources this train will run between Mumbai- Ahmedabad covering a distance of 508 Km is just two hours at a maximum speed of 350 kmph and operating speed of 320 kmph. Currently the same distance is covered in 7 hours by Duronto Express.
India’s First Bullet Train
Work on the project will start at the end of 2017 or early 2018 and is estimated to be completed till 2024-25. The work on the project will be done with the joint efforts of the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) and Japan. Though this high speed Bullet train will run on the elevated track on land but a 21 km tunnel under the sea will be constructed between Thane and Vihar.
Travel Mumbai to Ahmedabad in just 2 hours with bullet train
Almost 11 stations are proposed that will be connected through this train. These stations are Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Dahanu, Valsad, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodra, Anand or Nadiad and Ahmedabad.
An estimated cost of Rs 97636 crore will be spend on the project and 81% of which will be funded by Japan as a loan to India. Japan will also provide the staff training in India.
